Note: to rotate the handle, gently pull outwards on both hinges unlock, then where you want it - there are multiple positions will lock into. This meter has the original tpu rubber bumpers on front and back, well as swiveling arm/handle/stand. Gw Instek is a very reputable Taiwanese company that, while not as well known compared to the likes of fluke or key sight, produces excellent test measure equipment, and they often put in extra effort features. Very useful - you can measure circuit voltage and current at the same time, or ac either current frequency etc.

Purchased off a university equipment refresh sale, this Instek bench meter was originally in service with grand valley state university school of engineering. I have cleaned and tested this meter Sn: gep874362 all functions are working properly within spec. This meter does all the standard functions of ac/dc volts and current as well resistance, but also has a host extra features, some which aren't seen often in comparable products. Delectable measurement speeds, the maximum: 40 readings/s for CV.

The single most notable is the rub/wear mark on underside of meter where a small amount metal visible through powder coat. I could be wrong there but the oldest meters i've seen with feature have been Instek. The basic precision of dc voltage : 0.02%. Standard usb device interface to connect with a computer.

This meter is quite clean, and in excellent condition. It does have some very minor blemishes which are shown in pictures. Tested: ac/dc volts , current, resistance, frequency, capacitance, diode, continuity, multiple dual-display combinations, etc. As I said, very minor.

Everything works properly. I have tested both the high and low current ports, auto manual ranging, etc. Continuity mode, hold function, and auto/manual ranging are common enough, but this unit also measures capacitance, diodes, frequency/period, temperature standard k or j Thermopylae needed, as well db DBMS functions, min/max, data storage / logging via usb front panel, computer interface by back panel - Instek software is a free download on their site they have lab view drivers for meter host of math functions options. Dual measurement/dual display.
